Joe B. Milosevich


Joe Milosevich spent his formative years in central Illinois, where he resided in Tolono and Decatur.  He attended nearby Eastern Illinois University at Charleston on a full-ride scholarship as an art major pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.  Upon completion of his undergraduate studies in 1974, Milosevich was accepted into the MFA painting program at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where he was awarded a graduate fellowship and a teaching assistantship. After receiving his graduate degree in 1976, Milosevich accepted full-time sabbatical replacement positions at Kansas State University and University of Minnesota-Morris.  Since 1979, he has been employed as a full-time gallery director and studio art instructor of painting, drawing, and design at Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Illinois.  Milosevich currently resides with his family in Crest Hill, where he maintains a very active studio. Milosevich is a member artist of the 33 Contemporary Gallery in Chicago.
